Privacy Policy

This explains what SWUPedia collects and how it's used. It's a personal fan project run by one person, built to collect as little as possible. By using the site, you agree to what's below.

What I collect

  • From Discord (if you sign in that way): basic account info shared at login — mainly your user ID, username, avatar, and email address.
  • If you sign up with email and password instead: your email address and your password. Your password is never stored as plain text — it's run through one-way encryption (hashing) before being saved, so no one, including me, can see or recover it.
  • Your uploads: the card images and any captions or comments you post.
  • Basic logs: standard technical data (like your IP address) the server records to stay running and secure.

How it's used

Only to create your account, keep you logged in, display your username and uploads, and keep the site safe. I don't sell your data, share it with advertisers, track you across other sites, or send marketing. Your Discord password is never seen by the site, and if you use email/password instead, your password is never stored unencrypted — only a securely hashed version is kept, which can't be reversed back into your actual password.

If you sign in with Discord and email/password using the same, verified email address, both are linked to the same one account — I don't create a second account or duplicate your data just because you used a different way to sign in.

Who else is involved

Discord or Supabase (the service that runs sign-in for the site, including email/password) handles your login, each under their own privacy policy, and Vercel stores the site's data. Otherwise your info isn't shared, unless I'm legally required to, or it's needed to deal with abuse.

Keeping and deleting data

Your info is kept while your account is active. To have your data removed, use the contact form (the Contact link in the site footer) or message me on Discord (trandav) — and ask for it to be deleted, and I'll take care of it, aside from copies that may remain in short-term backups.

Other

The site isn't for anyone under 13. I may update this policy and will change the date above when I do.
